Why we grow without peat
Peat bogs store huge amounts of carbon and take thousands of years to form. We stopped using peat in 2021.
Our mix is coconut fibre, composted bark and a little perlite. It dries out a bit faster, so we water in smaller amounts.
Customers sometimes ask whether plants do worse in it. After five years: no difference we can see.
